Pastor Julia F. Byas is the founder of Women of Power Ministries. Pastor Byas founded it after receiving instructions to do so at the Azusa Conference held in Tulsa, OK. Before that time, although not officially organized, Julia Byas had begun to walk into her purpose.

In her home, she hosted fellowships and introduced guests to Jesus Christ. The fellowship was simply entitled "Be Strong Fellowship." The ministry originated with seven (7) women chosen by God. Two original members remain. God instituted several entities under the guidance of Women of Power Ministries. These entities are still a functioning sector of the ministry today. They are the Annual Christmas Prayer Breakfast, Ben D. Byas Sr. Memorial Scholarship Banquet & School Supplies Giveaway, and the Annual Women's Retreat. From the urging of and yielded obedience to the Holy Spirit, the ministry has grown and blossomed in Immanuel Temple-God With Us Worship Center with now Pastor Julia Byas as it's founder and leader. She is the mother of one daughter and two sons. She is also a grandmother of 9 and the great-grandmother of 6.
